When using the Valorstones/Crests and Catalyst upgrade finder Mr. Robot is telling me items that are clearly inferior are upgrades. For example, in the Catalyst section it’s telling me 619 set shoulders are a +3.38% upgrade over the 626 set shoulders I already have on. The Valorstones/Crests section appears to be all over the place with what’s an upgrade and by how much as well. Apparently, everything in my bags is a 2% upgrade or more. Please take a look and let me know if I’m missing something or if this is an error.
Thank you.
I’ll take a look… the issue has to do with the interaction between the upgrade finder and locked items on your Best in Bags setups. That can get a bit tricky… no matter how you do it, you can end up with a confusing result sometimes.
In this case it is ignoring the fact that you have locked in your trinket, which happens to score worse than the other trinket options it is then able to use with each item in the catalyst list – that is why every item ends up scoring better, because they can all be equipped with a better-scoring trinket.
We probably have to get a bit fancier to give people the result they are looking for. For example, if you had a shoulder item locked… the only way we could rank shoulder items would be to ignore your lock. Otherwise we would not even be able to equip alternative items! But if we are ranking a shoulder and you have a trinket locked… we would probably want to respect the lock on that trinket while trying combinations with your shoulder item.
Yep, that fixed the results. I can work around that. Thank you for the feedback.
We posted a site update today that should resolve this issue – item locks should not result in unexpected rankings in the upgrade finder now.
Even better. Looks to be working. Thank you for your assistance and quick update.
