Longtime user, have been using AMR heavily for MIdnight as my Ele Shaman. It’s now doing something I’ve never seen before. BiB is recommending I change two items for a -0.76% DPS reduction.
Why would it recommend I lose DPS, even a trivial amount? It recommends I change my weapon, and when I click the item, the Customize Gear window shows 5 weapons with higher DPS than the recommendation. It’s showing the same thing for my boots - a downgrade.

I notice that you have a custom secondary stat distribution selected… sometimes that can cause the score to go down in order to choose gear that more closely matches the desired distribution of stats.
You are basically saying “ignore the estimated score/DPS gains and go for this balance of stats instead”, so sometimes score will go down to get you closer to that ratio.
If you disable that option on the customize tab, you’ll see that it more or less keeps your gear as-is without it – it recommends a couple swaps that are a very small difference. I would recommend not using the custom secondary stat ratio option unless you want to do something significantly different than what the optimizer chooses automatically. In your case the difference in chosen stats with and without your custom ratio is minimal.
