WoW 11.1.7 Patch Updates

Within the next hour or so we will update the site for the 11.1.7 patch.

D.I.S.C. Belts

The main change in this update is support for the new DISC belts obtainable via a short quest and overcharged delves.

You will need version 158 or higher of the in-game addon for us to read these belts correctly, which should be available shortly on most addon sites.

For Best in Bags, we will create a copy of the belt with each relevant effect on it, then optimize and choose the best one for each of your setups. If you don’t have a variant yet, exclude it from the optimization. We could not find a reliable way to read which variants you have unlocked in-game.

For Best in Slot, you will see each relevant variant in the list and the optimizer will choose the one it prefers. The item is set to max item level of 701 for Best in Slot.

Probably a small change to see what buff we should apply ? Kind of like an enchant:
I supposed here in this snapshot, it is trying to say you dont have the buff applied we expect that why we change the belt by the same belt.

Note that enchant keep the priority in mind but the “buff” from the belt can be change for each specs.

This item is a bit of a pain… so to make it work with our current systems, we create multiple copies of it in your inventory with the different equip effects. If you click on the belt slot, you’ll see in the list that there are 9 different DISC belts for the 9 different effects.

This way the optimizer can work as normal – it sees them as individual items with different effects, and just picks the one that scores best.

So for example in this case, it is suggesting that you use the mastery effect for this M+ windwalker setup.

We realize that you might not have all of them unlocked yet… but I could not find a good way to read that with the in-game addon. So you can use the per-slot list to exclude variations that you do not have yet. (Note: I’m working on an issue where excluding one version of the belt seems to prevent the optimizer from picking any version of the belt… should have that fixed today sometime.)

There is also no great way to make the in-game addon show which effect to pick… so we just skipped that for now. And I don’t believe there is a good way to automatically activate an effect… but maybe someone has figured something out.

We just posted a server update that fixes an issue with the optimizer not considering all DISC belt variants when optimizing Best in Bags. This will also make the item exclusion feature work properly with DISC belts.

You will need to re-import your character from the addon for this change to take effect.

okay thats how you make it works ! Sound okay to me not very explicit but good enough for what i use it for.
Thank you

Yeah it’s not a perfect solution… but it was much easier to get the optimizer to make a recommendation without having to write extra code or build an extra system for a single relatively short-lived item.

In general I find these belts to be underwhelming… the only thing making them worth using is that they are higher item level than what you could otherwise get. The equip effects themselves are not that powerful compared to the regular secondary stats on an item.
