Sorry, I did search for this topic but I didn’t see anything less than 2-4 years old.
I have 6 gear loadouts on my priest, and have for many years now. Holy Raid and Dungeon(Healing)/Dungeon(DPS), 1 for Disc, and 2 for Shadow Single and AoE.
And previously (it felt like) all 6 were being updated every time I did an import to that addon. Something wasn’t working right with my bag sorting, and I noticed that the last 3 were not being updated anymore. So I deleted all of my Equipment Manager saves, and reimported and changed to all 6 of the specs. It did recreate 3 of them, the 1st 3 on the website (my 3 Holy specs), but not my Disc or 2 Shadow specs. The 6 dropdowns in the AMR addon do work correctly for equipping the right gear, they just don’t get Equipment Manager creations like the 1st 3 loadouts do.
I use Equipment Manager tags for bag sorting (BetterBags Addon) so that I can see which items in my bags are tagged for the Equipment Manager, that way I do not sell/disenchant any gear by accident I just happen to not be wearing at the time.
I found the option to “disable” this feature in the settings, but it made no mention of a limitation.
Is this something that changed, or did it just appear to be working in Dragonflight and before and I just never noticed it.

I’ll take a look – it should be able to create a blizzard equipment manager set for any setup in the addon. I’ll try to recreate the situation on one of my own characters and report back.
AMR isn’t saving any sets in the equipment manager. I have to do this manually at the moment. I’ve deleted all sets, and nothing is saved when switching or updating gear.
So I just tried it on my character, and everything seems to be working as expected – whenever I activate one of my AMR setups via the addon, it creates a corresponding equipment manager set with the same name. I created six setups and it created six equipment manager sets to go with them.
Firstly, ensure that you have this option unchecked in the addon, otherwise we won’t create equipment manager sets:
Second thing: if you change the name of one of your setups, we will create a new equipment manager set with that name, but we won’t delete any old ones – you have to clean out any old equipment manager sets yourself. (We can’t be certain if you would want us to delete one, so we never delete equipment manager sets.)
Third thing: we don’t actually create the Blizzard equipment manager set until you click the “Activate [spec] Spec and Equip Gear” button (or use a macro to do the same) for that particular setup. The reason for this is… it’s impossible to create an equipment manager set without actually equipping the gear first. I find this to be a super irritating limitation of Blizzard’s API, but it is what it is…
Let me know if any of that information helps out or if you are still having difficulties with this feature, and we can investigate further.

Logged back in to the game
Verified there were still no Equipment Manager saves
Started to Activate and Equip Gear starting from the bottom up. The bottom 3 specs did not make New Equipment Manger saves (Disc/Shadow), but the top 3 did (Holy)
I then disable all other addons except AMR and exited the game and relogged in
I recopied the website string and imported it in to the AMR Addon
I Activated and Equipped all 6 spec again. It still only made 3 Equipment Manager sets
I renamed my set Disc to Discipline and reimported that to the addon and activated that, did not make a Equipment Manager for that
I moved Disc and the 2 Shadow Specs to the top 3 specs on the website and exported that into the addon and actived those specs. Still would not create my Shadow or Disc Equipment Manger (I actually thought that was going to work for those 3 and Holy would stop working)
I then deleted all specs on the website and all Equipment Manager saves in game
Still only have the AMR addon running, disabled all others
Recreated 3 Holy, 1 Disc and 1 Shadow spec (have not made a Raid talent tree for WW yet) - All with slightly different naming conventions than I had before
Exported that in to the Addon and Activated and Equipped all 5 of them. It still only made the 3 Holy specs.
I ran out of ideas to try at this point.

That is really weird… so if I’m reading that correctly, it’s only making equipment manager sets for your holy setups, and always fails to make one for any discipline or shadow setups?
I can’t think of any reason that the spec would matter… nor the number of setups… something else must be causing the equipment manager part of the code to fail or not run on some of your setups…
The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head is that perhaps when you activate e.g. one of the Discipline setups that is not working, does the addon not actually equip all of the suggested items? It might not make the equipment manager set if it can’t fully equip the setup for some reason (e.g. one of the items is bind-on-equip).
I’m having the same problem on my mage. Updating only the first slot none of the rest. Tried deleting all slots and now none of them are saving. Disable blizzard equipment manager is unchecked. Very strange.
Yeah that is strange… are you getting any kind of error messages in the addon? I’m going to have a few other people try it out to see if they can reproduce on different characters – so far I haven’t been able to do so on my own characters.

Was working fine till maybe prepatch? or the first few days of the new xpac launch. Not sure if another addon is causing it. I tried turning off all others and still not resolving
Could you create a snapshot ID for your character that is having this problem? I think that I can figure out your issue from that. You can create a snapshot via the “help” link next to the big Best in Bags section header on the website, as detailed at the top of this post:
I posted another addon update (v146) that theoretically should fix the error that @koairen was seeing… which may or may not fix the equipment manager issue reported here by others.
Give it a try if you have been having trouble and let me know if it helps. If not, we’ll investigate further.
Sorry, haven’t been able to play for a while… And also had to completely reinstall WoW. No sure if between that complete nuke of the game, or the patch, but it is now creating all 5 of my current specs in the Equipment Manager Thank you very much
