This is assuming I need 9% hit but it’s not factoring in the 3% hit I get from paladin talents even though it shows that the talent is imported. Is it anyway to set the hit threshold or for it to understand I have that talent? As of now, it’s optimization is wrong because the hit% is wrong.
Mr. Robot definitely factors in the 3% hit from the talents. Look at your BiB solution, as an example.
Sometimes the optimal set of gear ends up higher than the hit cap because of itemization. In this case it incidentally landed on 9% in the BiS solution, making it seem like an error.
We spent a lot of time making sure that hit rating was handled correctly in the classic code, as it is something that comes up all the time.
We even wrote up a few posts explaining how it all works, for reference:
One thing that might be influencing the results is that it seems your talents did not import correctly.
We will have an update to the classic addon that should fix this issue, though I might not be able to publish it until next Tuesday – we are buried in work finishing up for the 11.2 patch that comes out next Tuesday.
In the meantime, manually choose the correct talents directly on our website until we can put out the update next week.
I just wanted to point out that this was the issue. Mr. Robot, as I said, was bringing me to 9% hit instead of the 6% it should have brought. It’s because the import of the talents was incorrect. As soon as I reset the talents and manually imported it, it’s calculations were accurate. Hope that import feature bug gets addressed soon. Thanks for the hardwork in making a great tool. Cheers.
