How To: Fix Addon Export Showing Wrong Region

Sometimes when you export from our addon to the website, it will export the wrong region (e.g. EU instead of US). This is usually caused by installing an addon pack from somebody in a different region than you, which can overwrite your own WoW settings. But there is an easy fix!

  1. Find where World of Warcraft is installed on your hard drive using File Explorer.

  2. Go to the WTF subdirectory, in there you will see a file called config.WTF – open it with any text editor, such as Notepad.

  3. Find the line that says:

set portal "EU"
  1. Replace the “EU” with whatever your region actually is: US, EU, KR, TW, CN.

Restart WoW, you should be good to go next time you export!
